CA Sri Lanka to host high-level Asia Pacific Accountants meetings in Colombo

Colombo will be the host for a series of high-level meetings of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) scheduled to be held mid this month.

Organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), the series of meetings including Committee meetings, Board meeting and a General Meeting will commence on 18 October and conclude on 21 October.

Chartered Accountants from across 23 countries across Asia and Pacific are expected to participate in the meetings representing countries, including, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Fiji, France, India, Japan, Korea, D.P.R Korea, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samara Region, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam.

CAPA is the Regional Organisation representing national accountancy organisations in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, CAPA has a membership of 31 accountancy organisations in 23 jurisdictions.  The CAPA meetings will be held alongside the annual National Conference of CA Sri Lanka, which is the national accounting body of the country.

CA Sri Lanka member and Immediate Past President of the Institute Sujeewa Mudalige is the current Deputy President of CAPA.
