Cairn India wins CMO Asia award 2012

Cairn India, Asia’s fastest growing E&P company and India’s leading upstream oil and gas company has won CMO Asia Award for ‘Best practices in Corporate Social Responsibility’, for the second consecutive year at a ceremony held in Singapore on 20 July.   

The CMO Asia is dedicated to high level knowledge exchange through leadership and networking amongst senior CMOs and brand decision makers across industry segments.

The award is in recognition to Cairn India’s sustained efforts towards empowering the local communities and providing sustainable development solutions across its operational areas in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Sri Lanka that has impacted lives of thousands of people in the subcontinent. Some of the successful community programs of Cairn India include the Cairn Enterprise Centre, Cairn India Dairy Development program, Room to Read (Library Program), Science on Wheel, Theatre in Education, Mobile Health Vans, General Health Awareness Camps, Micro Vendor Program, etc.

Cairn India, who contributes more than 25% of India’s domestic production, works with structured CSR programs around 3Rs of respect, relationships and responsibility, under the thematic focus areas of economic development, education, health and infrastructure development.
