CBL wins a Labour Department Award

The CBL delegation comprising of Manager –HR Ajith Jayasingha, Chief Organiser of the Trade Union, A.P.K. Ranatunga, Welfare Association President W.A. Sirisena, and HR Assistant Nuwan Sampath, who participated at the awards ceremony, received the award from Labour Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne.

Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. (CBL) was recently presented with an award by the Labour Department in appreciation of the productivity and the growth achieved as a private sector organisation through employer-employee cooperation and industrial harmony.

The award was given away at a ceremony held at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre Colombo under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena. 

CBL is the Bronze award winner in the large scale category of the All Island competition organised by the Social Dialog and Work Place Cooperation Unit of the Labour Department on the theme ‘Industrial Harmony and Economic Prosperity through Dialogue and Cooperation’.
