CCC to line up top Govt. officials to discuss energy sector developments

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will line up several high ranking government officials to discuss the developments taking place in the local energy sector and how it would impact the businesses.
The seminar, which will be held under the title, ‘How would the Energy Sector Developments impact you’, will see the participation of D.K.B.S. Tilakasena, Additional General Manager of the Ceylon Electricity Board, A.H.S. Wijesinghe, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum Industries and Saliya Wickramasuriya, the Director General of the Petroleum Resource Development Secretariat. They will, respectively present the ‘Electricity Generation Plan and Tariff Outlook’, ‘Petroleum Sector Developments’, and the ‘Current status of Oil Exploration’.
These will come under further discussion by a panel of experts, consisting of M.M.C. Ferdinando, Secretary, Ministry of Power and Energy, Damitha Kumarasinghe, Director General, Public Utilities Commission, Harsha Wickramasinghe, Deputy Director General (Strategy), Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority and Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya, Managing Director, Resource Management Associates Ltd.
Participants will have the opportunity to clarify all their energy related issues from tariffs, electricity connections to power quality all under one roof from the leading professionals in the energy sector in Sri Lanka. The session will be chaired by Pravir Samarasinghe, Chairman of the Energy Steering Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar will take place on 20 November 2014 from 2 p.m. onwards at the Ground floor auditorium of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce at 50 Navam Mawatha, Colombo 2.
