CCI to hold Build Sri Lanka 2016 in May

The prize given to a winner at last year’s Build SL 2015 Exhibition by Chamber of Construction Industry, Sri Lanka President Dr. Surath Wickramasinghe

The official launch of the Build Sri Lanka 2016 – Housing and Construction Expo was held at the Grand Ball Room of Hotel Galadari on 15 October. 

Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Patali Champika Ranawaka was the Chief Guest. This exhibition is being organised by the Chamber of Construction Industry, Sri Lanka with the objective of promoting the construction industry and to develop linkages among construction professionals, contractors, house builders, house owners and materials/ equipment suppliers locally and also with those in the Asian region.

In May 2015, Build SL Expo was declared open by President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena. A large number of persons visited the exhibition. In May 2016, the Chamber is planning to organise this premier housing and construction exhibition on a much grand scale with the participation of several overseas companies, particularly in view of the program of the Government to build a new Sri Lanka.
