CEMS-Global will host the ‘Asian International Apparel Sourcing Show 2012’ (AIAS 2012) from 6 to 8 December 2012 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

The Asian International Apparel Sourcing Show 2012 will be the leading apparel sourcing marketplace in the region, being held in a perfect B2B hub such as Singapore, showcasing readymade apparel and garment collections from apparel manufacturers from all over Asia (South Asia, Southeast Asia and North Asia), including trims and accessories.

The concurrent show ‘Asian International Yarn & Fabric Show 2012,’ will showcase yarn, fabric, trims and accessories manufacturers from all over Asia and with the apparel sourcing show right beside it, it will create a unique opportunity for textile manufacturers to interact with the apparel manufacturers right beside them, and at the same time, also benefit the visiting buyers with a perfect ‘triangle trade,’ whereby a buyer will be able to decide on a fabric supplier from one country and an apparel factory from another country under one roof.

The world’s trade dynamics have changed a lot and presently, the world’s leading apparel buying offices and agencies have their Asia-Pacific operations in Singapore, which are their sourcing offices, and decide the sourcing from South and Southeast Asian apparel and textile manufacturers. These offices are of top class buyers and chain stores from not only USA and EU but also from Far-East Asia and Australasia.

Apart from the above mainstream buyers, interregional trade between countries of South and Southeast Asia is increasing every year and CEMS-Global would also be tapping into important importers and traders, who are based in Singapore and import and then re-export textiles and apparels to buyers in Southeast Asia, East-Asia, and Australasia and also in USA, EU and South America.

This is where CEMS-Global taps into the potential of organising this important B2B trade show for apparel and yarn and fabric sourcing in Singapore and it will be a one-stop B2B platform for apparel and textile sourcing in Asia-Pacific and the rest of the world.

Other platforms offering similar shows are held in North America which focus only on the North American buyers, some shows focus on the EU, but the ‘Asian International Apparel Sourcing Show 2012’ along with the ‘Asian International Yarn & Fabric Show 2012’ focuses on buyers from all over the world as well as those in the region.

“With the kind of responses we have obtained so far and with us announcing these exhibitions in the business hub of Singapore, we see that very soon Singapore will rise to be the apparel and yarn and fabric sourcing hub of the world. AIAS 2012 and AIFS 2012 will be two of the biggest networking hubs for apparel and textile sourcing in Asia, catering to not only the requirements of the ever-growing readymade apparel and garment requirements of the region but also with visitors and buyers from all around the world,” CEMS said.

SPRING Singapore – an entity of the Government of Singapore – has already identified Singapore as the second largest apparel and clothing sourcing hub of the Asia-Pacific after Hong Kong.

The Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh has confirmed their support to this exhibition and will be a large presence with over 30 Bangladeshi garment manufacturers participation in the show to further expand their US$ 18 billion in the apparel export basket with member companies from the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association(BGBA), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Bangladesh Grey and Finished Fabrics Mills and Exporters Association (BGFFMEA) participating under the Bangladeshi pavilion.

Additionally the Textile and Fashion Federation of Singapore, AFTEX-ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries and the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia have endorsed the shows. National pavilions will consist of apparel manufacturers and exporters from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and China, CEMS added.

CEMS-Global, operating since 1992, has made a commendable presence as a multinational exhibition organiser of the region with operations in over seven countries.
