Ceramics Council to discuss use of nanotechnology

The Sri Lanka Ceramics Council affiliated to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled to hold its 11th Annual General Meeting on Friday, 22 August at 5 p.m. in the Gregory Room, Taj Samudra, Colombo. The Council is the apex body, representing the ceramics and glass manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka. The Council was formed in 2003 and consists of all exporters of tableware, floor tiles, wall tiles, ornamental ware, red clay roof tiles, glass and also includes SMEs. Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Anura Siriwardena will be the Chief Guest at this event. The keynote address on ‘Application of Nanotechnology to the Ceramics Industry’ will be delivered by Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology Senior Scientist Dr. Shehan De Silva.
