The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce-led ‘Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2015’, an annual event which is being conducted to recognise the best ‘sustainability’ initiatives of the corporate sector, has decided to recognise more economic ‘sectors’.

Accordingly, The BCCS 2015, in addition to the already existing sectors, will also recognise the sustainability efforts carried out in sectors such as Construction, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Logistics, Knowledge Service and also Leisure.

Accordingly, the firms that have conducted excellent sustainability work focusing on areas such as the firm’s employees, customers, community, shareholders, governance and also the environment can submit their applications to compete in the contest.

The Best Corporate Citizens Sustainability Award 2015 will be held during the month of November, while applications are now being called from interested parties.

The Chamber has lined up a galaxy of awards to recognise the best performers in corporate sustainability initiatives in Sri Lanka, ranging from the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2015, top ten corporates, category awards and sector awards to top performers for key sectors of the economy and The Best Presented Application.

In addition to the main award, the ‘Best Projects Sustainability Awards 2015’, will recognise exemplary projects carried out by companies relating to the planet and people such as education, community services, etc.

The Chamber invites corporates to apply for the awards. The closing date will be 2 October 2015. For more information please call 5588891 or email to [email protected].
