Ceylon Chamber sees big demand from corporates to join as members

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has elected 14 new members into its membership fold, thus strengthening its overall membership base to 537 companies, which consist of national, multinational and SME sector firms. Accordingly, Premier Natural Teas Ltd., Mega Trend Lanka Ltd., Alankara SKR Ltd., Brown and CN Lanka Ltd., CCIC South Asia Ltd., Amana Holdings Ltd., Venora International Projects Ltd., Sierra Information Technologies Ltd., Candor Equities Ltd., Prima Ceylon Ltd., Jysper Catering Equipment & Supplies Ltd., York Street Partners Ltd., Inventure Trims International Ltd., and Marine Transport Services Ltd., are the new firms that have been elected to the membership by the Chamber. The new members represent a diverse number of sectors such as tea, shipping, exports, gem and jewellery, IT and ICT, banking, engineering, investment banking and many more and they now have the opportunity to avail themselves to a range of attractive business services offered by the Ceylon Chamber. By becoming a member of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, firms gain recognition by most Global traders for business, receives expert advice on all trade related matters, opportunity to make new business contacts with exporters, importers, service providers, manufacturers and also joint venture partners. The opportunity to attract new markets across the globe through various Chamber-led programs, such as, trade enquiries and the Chamber’s Business Information Portal, easy access to markets through business missions – inward and outward and many more are the benefits that would be enjoyed by these organisations through their partnership with the Ceylon Chamber. The Chamber members also get the opportunity to have access to Government officials, foreign missions, recognised international persons, etc. and also be represented the Chamber Advisory Committees and the possibility of being nominated to external Committees as the Representative of the Chamber. To become a new member of the Chamber, a firm should be in operation for at least for a period of one year, have two Chamber member companies as proposer and the seconder and those two firms should also have held the Chamber membership for not less than five years, etc.
