Ceylon Chamber seminar on foreign and local investments

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is planning to hold a seminar under the title of ‘Policies in Place?: Bring in the Investments’ which will discuss the new Government’s drive towards attracting Foreign Direct Investments into the country. The seminar will see top Government officials in charge of the subject taking the centre stage to discuss how the current political situation, governance, transparency and rule of law will help drive investments. The Deputy Minister of Highways, Education and Investment Promotion will speak under the title of ‘Increasing Investments: Government’s Vision’, while IMF’s Resident Representative for Sri Lanka Maldives Eteri Kvintradze will share ‘The Georgia Experience’. Ceylon Chamber of Commerce CEO Mangala P.B. Yapa will deliver the welcome address of the forum, which will take place on 27 March. Following the speeches by the above duo, there will be an open forum, which would be taken part by Deputy Minister in charge of Investments Eran Wickramaratne, Deputy Minister of Policy Planning and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva, BOI Chief Upul Jayasuriya, Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister Paskaralingam, IMF Resident Representative Eteri Kvintradze and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Chairman Suresh Shah.
