Ceylon Chamber to boost agriculture sector

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) offers an exclusive opportunity for those engaged in the fruits and vegetable sectors to learn about the important trends and competitiveness and challenges impacting SMAE development.

The seminar on ‘Small & Medium Agro-Processing Enterprises (SMAE) 

Development – Sharing of Experience’ is organised to offer an opportunity to those dealing with fruits and vegetables, to share the experience and knowledge gained by the participants at the Agribusiness Roundtable on SMAE development held in Malaysia recently.

Sarath De Silva, Chairman, IFCO; A Pathirage, Director, H J S Condiments Ltd.; and Senarath de Zoysa, General Manager, Agri Education, Training and Consultancy for National Agriculture Development, CIC Agribusiness – the three representatives from the chamber who participated at this conference – have come forward to impart  the  knowledge they gained at this forum to the participants of this seminar.

The seminar is scheduled for 28 January at 10:30 a.m. at the CCC.

Each participant will receive a copy of the CD comprising the presentations of the representatives from 11 countries – Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam – made at the forum in Malaysia.
