Ceylon Chamber to conduct post ‘Interim Budget’ discussion

Finance Minister, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, Treasury Secretary and CBSL Governor to speak
The Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, Deputy Minister of Policy Development and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva, Treasury Secretary Dr. D.H.S. Samaratunga and the (designate) Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran will speak at the post ‘Interim Budget’ discussion organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The ‘Interim Budget’ of the new government will be presented on 29 January in Parliament, while the Chamber discussion on the much talked ‘Interim Budget’ will be held on 30 January 2015 at the JAIC Hilton.
The evening event will be kicked off with opening remarks coming from Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Suresh Shah, while Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake will address the audience under the title of ‘Salient Features of the Interim Budget and Rationalisation’.
He would be followed by Dr. Harsha De Silva, who will speak under the title of ‘State of the Economy and Future Prospects’.
The speeches by the Ministerial duo will be followed by a panel discussion which will see the participation of Minister Ravi Karunanayake, Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva, Treasury Secretary and the (Designate) Governor of the Central Bank.
