Ceylon Chamber to obtain inputs from businesses on proposed SL-China FTA

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce will hold a ‘Discussion Session’ on 26 August to gain inputs from the Lankan businesses on how to enhance business activities with China.

The latest move of the Chamber comes in the wake of Sri Lanka and China planning to strike a Free Trade Agreement between the two nations, shortly.

Hence the upcoming discussion is aimed at obtaining clarifications regarding ‘Rules of Origin; criteria and to receive inputs on inclusion of products to be promoted through the proposed FTA with China.

Senior officials of the Department of Commerce will take part as the resource persons of the upcoming session.
