Ceylon Chamber’s ‘Aarthika Dishaanathiya’ TV program to focus on fiscal policy

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the country’s premier business chamber will line up three key political representatives from the Government and the opposition to discuss Sri Lanka’s ‘fiscal policy’ on its ‘Aarthika Dishaanathiya’ TV program which is being conducted via Rupavahini.

Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake, former UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena and former JVP MP Sunil Handunnetti will take part in the discussion, which will be aired live on Rupavahini at 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, 4 August.

The program, an initiative of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, which was started on 21 July, is aimed at intensely discussing and debating the ‘Sri Lankan Economy and the Way Forward’ with the policy makers and the plans they have in hand to lift the national economy to the next level.

The first program discussed the title ‘Economic Vision’ with the participation of Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha De Silva, former UPFA MP Bandula Gunawardena and former JVP MP Sunil Handunneti; while the second program was conducted on 28 July and it focused on ‘Trade and Investment’ with the participation of Deputy Minister Eran Wickramaratne, former UPFA MP Mohan Lal Grero and the former JVP MP Bimal Ratnayake.

The program is moderated by Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Secretary General/CEO Mangala P.B. Yapa and an economist Dr. Udan Fernando.

It is supported by Commercial Bank, Watawala Tea Ceylon Ltd., Hemas Manufacturing and Link Natural.
