The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce ‘Post Interim Budget Seminar’, which is to be addressed by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and other top economic decision makers of the Government, has seen an unprecedented demand from the corporate sector.
Accordingly, over 450 participants, mainly representatives of the corporate sector are expected to attend the event, which will be held on Friday, 30 January at the JAIC Hilton, Colombo, starting at 5:30 p.m.
As space has run out to accommodate additional demand, the Ceylon Chamber had to stop further registrations of participants to the event.
However, for the convenience of those who may miss out being part of the event and also for the benefit of the general public in the national interest the Capital Maharaja Organisation has agreed to live telecast the event via MTV Sports, the country’s premier English TV Channel.
Deputy Minister of Policy Development and Economic Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva, Treasury Secretary Dr. D.H.S. Samaratunga and the Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran are the rest of the speakers, who will address the audience and also be available for a Q & A session alongside Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
This is the first such ‘Post Interim Budget’ seminar, where the new Government’s top economic decision makers are attending.
