Chandima joins Gestetner as MD

Chandima Perera formerly of John Keells Holdings has joined Gestetner of Ceylon PLC as Managing Director. Chandima has over 25 years of commercial experience of which nearly two decades was at JKH and in senior management capacity.

He joined the John Keells Group in 1992 seconded to John Keells Office Automation Ltd., and held the positions of Sales and Marketing Manager, Director Sales and Marketing, Director/General Manager and became the CEO/Vice President John Keells Holdings in 2000. In 2010, Chandima moved to take up a challenging career in the food and beverage sector within JKH Group. He was in charge of the beverage business where he held the position of Vice President JKH/Head of Beverages Ceylon Cold Stores, a public quoted company of over 140 years old. Following the new appointment the Board of Directors of Gestetner of Ceylon PLC comprises of S.J.M. Anzsar (Chairman), L.R. Watawala (deputy Chairman), B.C.U. Perera (Managing Director), D. Phillips, S.A.J. Goonetilleke, A.M.G. Gomez, J.M.G. Candappa (alternate to Anzsar) U.St.E.P. Perera.
