Taking community based welfare programs to a higher level of excellence, CH17 signed an agreement with AIG in Sri Lanka, the US based leading International insurance service provider in the country, for a comprehensive solution to the Agency’s on-going worker welfare programs.
Following several rounds of discussions between the CH17 and AIG, it was decided to work out an out of the box one card solution for the working class. This will be in the form of special privileges the card member would enjoy bundled as one social welfare offer.
“We don’t want our members to worry about individual product offers or benefits they would like to have from a range of so called discount cards. It’s all packaged in one and that will be Nucleus Privilege Card,” CH17 CEO Jumar Preena said.
Nucleus Privilege is only for those in communities or groups that are categorised as essential sectors. Our concept is totally different and is new. We have identified employee groups in vital sectors such as the apparel industry, public service, plantation sector, farmer communities, the migrant Sri Lankan expat community and the in-bound tourist segment, he pointed out.
As for the product category, we will entertain one brand or product from each consumer product categories classified essential, to join Nucleus Privilege’s welfare program he added. This is to ensure that there is a win-win situation for the consumer as well as the merchant. We want to help build a truly loyal customer base for each category of our merchant base thereby cementing the bond between the buyer and the seller thus preventing or minimising churn, he pointed out.
Already we have close to 30,000 memberships from three stages within just two months of operation, all of them from our flagship program Ransalu Pranama which is dedicated to the apparel work-force. Thanks to Industries and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and the Sri Lanka Apparel who are endorsees of this program.
