Chartered Institute of Marketing appoints new Chief Executive

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), appointed Chris Daly as its Chief Executive in February following his post as Acting Chief Executive since December 2015, where he lead a dynamic and dedicated team.

Chris joined CIM in June 2001 as Operations Manager in its Training Division. Promoted to Director of Membership in July 2007, Chris had responsibility for the UK regional and branch network, and CIM’s international operation, including the various Sector Interest Groups. In March 2013, he became Director of Customer Experience where he was responsible for every CIM customer touch point. He also serves as a Board Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka.sdghdf

CIM is the largest professional marketing body in the world, working with thousands of marketers at different levels right across the globe to develop their careers and drive business growth. As the marketing profession continues to evolve, CIM champions professionalism and leads the charge in training, marketing insight and thought leadership. 

CIM Board of Trustees Chairman Christopher Masters said: “Chris impressed the trustees during the selection process with his strong ideas about the future for CIM. In particular, Chris recognises the need for a professional services organisation to deliver a clear set of propositions to customers and to back them up with first class service. On his appointment, Chris commented: “I’m delighted to take on the role as CIM’s Chief Executive and to lead such a dynamic and dedicated team. I feel my years of experience both inside and outside of the organisation will assist me in driving this forward and achieving this vision.”

CIM is the independent, international organisation that has been supporting, developing and representing the marketing profession for over 100 years. CIM is the largest professional marketing body in the world, with 33,079 members (19,678 professionals and 13,401 students). There are 5,357 Chartered Marketers worldwide with 576 new Chartered Marketers in the last year. CIM has 163 study centres in 39 countries and there are 79 countries with exam centres. In the last year, 8,303 people registered at 287 UK CIM events.
