CIC Agri to implement Twenty20 and beyond

CIC Agri Businesses, the country’s leading agri business company has formulated a ten year strategic plan titled ‘Twenty-20 and beyond’ to propel it to the future for higher and sustainable growth.

CIC Agri which is on the threshold of completing twenty years began operations in 1993 as a fertiliser company. Since then the company has moved into various agri related inputs, product and value additions that has propelled the organisations to be the trend setter in the industry today.

The Twenty-20 and beyond plan which covers the next ten years was formulated following a comprehensive brain storming session among the senior managers of the company at the end of last year. The plan has now been documented, approved and ready to be implemented. According to a company spokesman the Twenty -20 plan was strategically formulated with greater emphasis on agri technology, food and nutrition.

During the last few years CIC Agri Businesses has received many accolades for product quality, excellence, innovation, technology and for corporate social responsibility. Last month the company received a silver award at the National Exporters Awards and also won the Gold Award at the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries Annual Awards. CIC Agri Businesses manages six farms in the North Central, North and Eastern Provinces.
