Cisco Speciality Packaging Ltd., one of the largest producers of plastic containers and bottles in the country, recently converted entirely to Mobil food grade oils.
Established in 1991, the company uses cutting-edge machinery to manufacture high-quality products. Speaking at a gathering, Cisco Speciality Packaging General Manager Prasad Wegiriya noted that the company “is committed to the highest standards of food safety and has understood the importance of using food grade lubricants in [its] machinery”. McLarens Lubricants Ltd. Director Lalith de Silva applauded Cisco Speciality Packaging’s decision to convert to Mobil food grade oils. He stated: “Cisco Speciality Packaging has now eliminated the potential for health hazards caused by the use of non-food grade lubricants and has set the benchmark for other companies in food-related industries.”
The Mobil SHC Cybus series of lubricants now used by Cisco Speciality Packaging is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (USA), and is NSF H1-registered. These Mobil lubricants are manufactured at ISO 22000 and ISO 21469-certified facilities, which ensures that the highest levels of product integrity are adhered to.
By converting entirely to Mobil food grade oils, Cisco Speciality Packaging has sent a clear message to its customers and the rest of the industry that it is dedicated to health and environmental protection in its manufacturing processes.
