Being a longstanding authorised dealer for Daikin Air Conditioners in Sri Lanka, Civimech has successfully implemented many large-scale central air conditioning, VRV AC projects and domestic air conditioning projects which include office complexes, factories, shopping complexes, apartments, educational institutes and hospitals etc.
Civimech Ltd. has also been recognised by Daikin Industries Japan in the past as the best regional dealer, by receiving the ‘Star Achievement Award’, which was the first time a Sri Lankan company has achieved this recognition. In addition to these awards, Civimech has also received the ‘Award for Sales Achievement’ for ‘Resident Air-Con, Package & Applied Products’ in recognition of the worthy contribution made in these specialised segments.
Civimech has been twice awarded the ‘HVAC Contractor of the Year’ (2008 & 2011) award by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) Sri Lankan Chapter. This award was granted in recognition of professionalism, high quality project management, workmanship and after sales service and, introduction of latest technology to the air conditioning and refrigeration industry in the country.
Among the prestigious projects completed, the largest garment factory and the largest VRV AC project in Sri Lanka and the largest central air conditioning project in the country handled by a Sri Lankan contractor could be highlighted.
The Civimech Group of Companies has also seen tremendous growth over the past 32 years. The subsidiary companies; Civimech Automobile operates a well-equipped modern Automobile Workshop at Moratuwa and Civimech Agro has a 215 acre farm at Girandurukotte, which grows fruits and vegetables for both domestic and export markets. The Civimech Green Solutions Ltd. provides solar power solutions while Cool Aid Ltd. progresses with dealerships with ‘Spirotec’ and other companies in marketing accessories used in the air conditioning industry.
The new management of the Civimech Group of Companies is headed by Durga Soysa as the Chairperson, while Dhanusha and Dilusha Soysa function as the Managing Director and Director Finance respectively.
Following the footsteps of the Founder Chairman, the late Deshamanya Ravindra Soysa, the new management team has continued the excellent work initiated by him and has also embarked on new ventures, the latest being the diversification into solar power business which is already making excellent progress.
