In response to the news story titled ‘Sri Lanka flights to Rome and Milan’ published in the Daily FT yesterday, SriLankan Airlines clarified that it is yet to join the oneworld alliance.
“SriLankan is expected to join the oneworld alliance by next year, and become part of an alliance of 13 airlines, serving between them more than 860 destinations in 150 countries and operating a combined fleet of almost 2,500 aircraft, making some 900 flights carrying almost one million passengers every day,” the company said.
