CMA Founder’s Day on 1 March

On the completion of over a decade of service to its members and students, the CMA Founders Day and felicitation of founder members will be held on 1 March 2013 from 7 p.m. at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Independence Square, Colombo 7.



The Founder President, Governing Council, Advisory Council and founder staff members of CMA will be felicitated at this memorable event.

Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) was launched in the June 2000 and was subsequently incorporated by an Act of Parliament No.23 of 2009 and is today the National Professional Management Accounting body in Sri Lanka.

Dr. P.B. Jayasundera, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance and Planning, will be the Chief Guest at this event.

Dr. G.C.B. Wijeyesinghe will deliver the CMA Founders Day Oration and Prof. Uditha Liyanage, Director, Postgraduate Institute of Management, will be the Guest Speaker.  

Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, Founder President CMA, will deliver the inaugural address at the function.

CMA members, training partners, educational institutes, ministry officials and other special invitees from the public and private sector will attend the function.

CMA has a membership of 2,100 and approximately 750 Founder members and a total student population of 12,000.

At the last examination results released in end January 50 students completed the final examination and the numbers completing the final level case study has been increasing at every exam.
