The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneering industry chamber in the country has scheduled a half day seminar on payment of ‘Budgetary Relief Allowance’ to the private sector employees to be conducted on 8 June from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Mahaweli Centre, 96, Ananda Kumaraswami Mawatha, Colombo 7 (close to Public Library).
The CNCI Secretariat has observed that many organisations do have some issues and are certainly in need of clearing their doubts and issues on the subject. The scheduled seminar is expected to give a thorough awareness covering the areas of eligibility of employees and effective dates, calculation methods, daily paid workers, minimum wage policy, its effect to the payments of EPF, ETF and OT, effects to the new entrants and those recently retired/resigned etc.
The awareness program has specially been designed for those who are involved in finance, payroll management, administration, human resource management and any others interested in non-finance areas. The program provides the participants with an ample opportunity to seek clarifications on any issues concerned.
CNCI is doing this awareness program for the third time owing to the repeated requests by the private sector companies. The seminar will be conducted by Former Commissioner of Labour Sarath Ranawera, who is having decades of experiences in labour related areas and possessing very good training skills. Please contact 2339200 or 2452181 Chamber Secretariat for registration and further details.
