The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneer industry chamber in Sri Lanka, has organised a comprehensive full-day seminar on ‘Import and Export Procedures and Documentation’.

CNCI has observed that the people engaged in the administrative areas of Imports and Exports do need development in the subjects and constant updates for their professional efficiency as well as their personal development.

This important seminar has been scheduled for Tuesday, 19 May, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo 3.

Board of Investment Investor Services Director Mahinda Ramanayake and Board of Investment Deputy Director Ranjith Dharmasiri with their expertise and decades of experience in the field will conduct the seminar by delivering presentations, sharing ideas of ground realities and clearing any doubts and queries.

The areas expected to be covered at the seminar include an overview of the shipping industry in Sri Lanka, the role of Customs at Imports, procedures for BOI projects, Asyworld clearance initiative, commercial operations and hubs, TIEP and bonded warehouse.

“This seminar is ideal and appropriate for managers of all levels and in various streams, executives dealing with imports and exports and academics. The seminar has been arranged on studying the gaps and on requests received from some member companies. “It is our expectation and pleasure for you to have this opportunity to update and enhance your knowledge in order to serve your institution and both internal and external customers with better understanding,” CNCI stated.

Reserve seats early by contacting CNCI secretariat at 2452181 due to limited placements available.
