CNCI seminar to stimulate export, import sector

The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI), the pioneer industry chamber in the country, has organised a full day seminar/workshop under the theme of export/import certifications, Customs procedures and formalities. It will be held on Wednesday, 13 March 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Crystal Ballroom at the Taj Samudra, Colombo.

It aims to specifically to educate export sector enterprises on the subject covering all theoretical and practical procedures in handling the export trade.

This unique seminar will be conducted by two of the best presenters in the area of export and import and certification and documentations and the other presenter is one of the best consultants and expert in Customs, Ports Authority formalities and documentation, including shipping and freight forwarding.

During the full day seminar/workshop, subject matters such as introduction to export, sales contracts, methods of settlement of payment, certifications and registrations, Sri Lanka Ports Authority formalities, Sri Lanka Customs formalities, documentation, HS codes, shipping rules, certification and standard certifications are expected to be discussed.

The objective is to impart knowledge and to provide the latest information and guidelines and to educate business entrepreneurs, exporters, importers and respective officials, and to encourage them to enter the export sector which will provide dividends for the future.
