Colombo Uni MBA Alumni event to showcase practical perspective of modern management

The University of Colombo MBA Alumni Association (UoCMBAAA), the well-known professional body of  MBA graduates of the University of Colombo will hold a full- day Management Conference on March 9, at Cinnamon Lakeside under the theme  “Beyond Traditional Boundaries” featuring prominent personalities from diverse areas of business ranging from international trade to entertainment.

Enterprise and effective management are the Key Success Factors in the rapid growth and development of any organisation, especially in today’s fiercely competitive business world and it is a rewarding experience to listen to and interact with successful entrepreneurs and front-line corporate leaders who have moved ahead of the pack and produced exceptional results, sometimes within a relatively short period. Hence it is a golden learning opportunity for ambitious businessmen, senior corporate executives, budding entrepreneurs as well as young men and women pursuing higher studies with their eyes set on a management career, to attend this special Management Conference.

Dr.  Koshy Mathai will grace the occasion as the Keynote Speaker. An Economist by profession Koshy Mathai took up his posting as IMF Resident Representative for Sri Lanka and Maldives in October 2009. Prior to that he worked in a range of countries including the U.S., Turkey, and Zambia. He has been at the IMF for 11 years. He completed his Bachelors degree at Harvard and his Ph.D. at Stanford, both in economics. His Keynote Address will no doubt indicate new avenues for Sri Lankan business and new opportunities that are emerging in the world economic order.
