Commercial Bank opens a second Service Point in Wellawatta

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon has opened a second Customer Service Point in Wellawatta, to serve its increasing customer base in that part of Colombo.

The new Service Point is located at No. 115, W A Silva Mawatha, Wellawatta and is the Bank’s 223rd Service Point in Sri Lanka.

It was inaugurated by Ravi Dias, Managing Director and CEO of Commercial Bank on September 21, 2012.

The new branch is computer-linked to all other Branches and Service Points of Commercial Bank enabling online real time banking and provides access to the full range of facilities offered by the Bank.

The two ATM terminals installed at the new branch expands Commercial Bank’s ATM network to 534, the single largest ATM network owned by a bank in Sri Lanka.

Commercial Bank is the largest private bank in Sri Lanka, and the only Sri Lankan Bank listed in the world’s Top 1,000 Banks for two years consecutively. The Bank has been adjudged ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 14 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine, and has won multiple awards as the country’s best bank from ‘The Banker,’ ‘FinanceAsia,’ ‘Euromoney’ and ‘Trade Finance’ magazines. Commercial Bank also operates 17 service points in Bangladesh and is the 4th largest foreign bank in that country.
