Commonwealth Secretariat clarifies

The Commonwealth Secretariat yesterday clarified that it did not provide technical assistance to set up the EXIM bank in India as reported in the Daily FT article.

It said the Secretariat has only engaged the consultancy services of EXIM Bank of India through a technical cooperation agreement to provide technical expertise to enhance the export finance facilities in Sri Lanka.
