The Cooroondoowatte tea factory achieved yet another all time record price of Rs. 720 per kg for a PEK1 grade in the Western Medium category by bettering its previous record price of Rs. 700 per kg.

This line of tea was purchased by Union Commodities Ltd. on behalf of BETA Teas - Turkey. The Cooroondoowatte tea factory is situated in Gampola in the Western Medium planting district and is owned and managed by R.W.
