Latest research has revealed that in the private sector 87% of their senior management was either having diabetics, high blood pressure or being overweight which was having a direct or indirect impact on the performance of the company, which is a serious concern, said a senior HR professional in a blue chip company. In line with this finding the Rotary Foundation Alumni together with the professional fitness training outfit has put together a one-day training/workshop themed Corporate Athletism to be staged at Jaic Hilton on 18 March. The one-day program will run by Entertrainers faculty – Graham Brownlie who hails from Scotland will share ‘How Fitness Objectives’ can be designed then followed by two fitness workouts by Columbian Professional trainer Eli Usma and Russian origin fitness expert ‘Shasha’ which will also include breakout sessions ‘How to eat healthy whilst working in a office setup’ and ‘what a balanced workout means. “We are very excited to roll out this concept practically given the successful initial evening meeting that was a sell out in Colombo last year,” commented Graham Brownlie, the co founder of Entertrainers. The President of Rotary Alumni Rohantha Athukorala said that the program is targeted to the working professional of Sri Lanka and will be based on the similar program that was launched initially at Harvard University. This year’s edition will also feature top business professional explaining how they practice Corporate Athletism such as the Joint Managing Director Triad and respected advertising and communication profession Varuni Fernando, Chief Operating Officer for Arpico Ravi Liyanage, CEO – Marketing and Sales of Maliban and Marketing personality Ravi Jayawardene, former Miss Sri Lanka and Miss Asia Pacific who is a top Salsa dancer Stephanie Siriwardena, Regional Director for Asia Pacific and Middle East Bradley Emerson, President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and top marketer Gamika De Silva, cycling enthusiast and Vice President Retail and SME Yasas Hewage and United Nations(UNOPS) Head of Portfolio Development and corporate board member Rohantha Athukorala.
