Three members of the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) received accolades at the ‘Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2016’ award ceremony held on 7 December organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Sri Lanka (FCCISL). Amongst them was Shehan Seneviratne who received the ‘Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 – National Platinum Award’.
It is an annually anticipated event, widely regarded as the gathering of exemplary leadership in business to celebrate the exceptional achievements of entities across a wide variety of industries. This event provides for dynamic entrepreneurs and corporate leaders alike the platform to showcase their outstanding achievements and share their success with other like-minded individuals and business entities, which at the same time serves as a base for the promotion of integration and connectivity between players in the economy as a whole.
The COYLE members who received accolades comprised of: Shehan Seneviratne, SMS Holdings Ltd. – Provincial Gold Award – Extra Large Category, Western Province and Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year – National Platinum Award, Manjula Ariyakumara, Three Sinha Industries Ltd. – Provincial Silver Award Large Category Western Province and National Silver Award Large Category, Harsha Malvenna, Photo Technica Ltd. – Provincial Gold Award – Medium Category, Western Province and National Silver Award – Medium Category.
They were ranked regionally and recognised at the talent development industry’s most sought-after and coveted recognition in the country. Selection was assessed after completion of a thorough evaluation process, and only performers of the highest quality are selected to receive these prestigious awards. The Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are aimed at profiling local business entrepreneurs who have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the economy as well as to spotlight promising local Medium and Large enterprise entrepreneurs and leaders to help them grow to become potential global players in the future.
