The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (CPM) the premier professional management body in Sri Lanka will talk about the needs for professional managers to explore new avenues for business growth in order to remain competitive in changing business society and also the need to understand the challenges that such actions would entail.
This will be the fourth presentation by succession of three fruitful evenings of CPM Evening For Managers (EFM) presentation series which organise more frequently once in two months free of charge by the CPM Institute to its members with various topics relevant to the modern manager.
The event will take place on 18 May from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the main auditorium of SLIDA, 28/10, Malalasekara Mawatha, Colombo 07.
The global award winning consultant and veteran speaker Dr. Asoka Jinadasa will make the presentation under the theme of ‘How Innovative are our Managers?’ followed by the panel discussion comprises four learned panellists who will share their valuable thoughts. The panel discussion will be moderated by the Management Consultant of PIM and Head of the CPM Education and Training Committee Samantha Rathnayake.
The panel consists of PIM Senior Management Consultant Dr. Trevor Mendis, Daily FT Chief Editor Nisthar Cassim, Kingsbury Hotels Director HR Salome Senaratne and Management Consultant M.M.M. Rizley, who will give an in-depth overview according to the theme.
CPM provides a professional qualification in management, by conducting educational programs, providing practical experience in private and public sector entities, and establishing a link between the private and public sectors for the advancement of professional management. CPM provides three types of membership Associate, Member, and Fellow. Those with relevant qualifications and experience can apply for membership. The presentation will be beneficial for all the managers and administrators.
