Craighead brews fresh all-time record price

Craighead, which has the highest sale average in the western medium elevation category, established an all-time record price of Rs. 800 per kilogram for a line of FBOPF grade at weekly Tea auction held on 4 June 2013.

This betters its own all-time record price of Rs. 700 per kilo for the same grade established at a sale on 14 December 2011.

This line of tea was purchased by Akbar Brothers and Forbes & Walker Tea Brokers Ltd. conducted the sale.

Craighead Estate is managed by Kahawatte Plantations PLC and has established five all-time record prices for western medium grades.
