Cross regional forum to be initiated between South America, Africa and South Asia

Prof. Pedro Vera Castillo, Dean of Faculty of Business at Concepcion University in Chile and the President of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum of South America region, Emmanuel Hategeka – Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Trade and Industry in Republic of Rwanda in Africa, and Dr. Arosha Fernando – Director/CEO of Sierra Global and the official representative of Sri Lanka for the World Entrepreneurship Forum 2012 had a series of discussions on developing common strategies to promote entrepreneurship skills in developing countries of South America, Africa and South Asia on the sidelines of the World Entrepreneurship Forum 2012 held recently in Lyon, France.



A cross regional forum to be initiated with the view to closely working between the three regions for bilateral benefts in the international trade particularly between Chile, Rwanda, and Sri Lanka, as well as selected other countries in these three regions.

For the first time Sri Lanka has been selected to participate the ‘World Entrepreneurship Forum,’ which has been operating over the past 16 years, and currently includes 70 countries. Participants of the forum comprise many renowned figure heads from across the globe, including some world leaders – presidents, ministers, and mayors, as well as intellectuals heading leading business schools and business ventures in the world.
