Dealers of Arpico Arpitec water pumps rewarded

Arpitec water pumps, a superior product of Richard Pieris Distributors Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of Richard Pieris and Co. PLC, manufactures the number one water pump in the industry.

Having launched in 2006, the brand has achieved a remarkable position in a short period of time with its engineering excellence and has become the leading water pump in Sri Lanka as it is sold at an affordable price, keeping true to its promises.

“These achievements and victories are greatly contributed by our valuable dealers through promoting and improving the sales of the Arpitec product year after year,” said Director – Distribution Sector Shantha Kularatna.

Arpitec launched an innovative initiative titled ‘Arpitec Supiri Wasi’ in 2009 to select the best performing dealers as a show of gratitude and to strengthen the relationship between Arpitec and its dealer network.

Given the glowing performance in year 2010/2011, Arpitec selected 256 dealers who outperformed and out of them chose 65 dealers who were star performers and the others were gifted with valuable gift items.

The shortlisted dealers were rewarded with a fully-paid local family tour, where the others were flown to India and the balance had the unique privilege to visit Malaysia, with food and lodging facilities provided. The dealers who visited Malaysia were given rare opportunity to visit the Puthraja administrative city of design.

“The city is located 25km in the south of Kuala Lumpur and serves as the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. Puthraja is very well planned and most importantly the architects of this city were university students,” Sadath Mohommad, Senior Business Development Manager of Richard Pieris Distributors (Pvt) Ltd. said.

“They also visited the south Asia’s largest covered bird park and the Malaysia’s famous Chocolate House. The dealers who visited India had a great time specially visiting a magnificent 1,700-year-old wooden castle, while the remaining dealers were rewarded with luxury family tours and were accommodated in Star hotels in Sri Lanka,” Mohommad added.
