Important standards
What’s most important when buying a solar inverter is the international standard that they comply with and in the case of inverters VDE and CE (or equivalent) it is the standards that are of importance. As for Solar Panel, the important standards are TUV BABT, TUV IEC and CE (or equivalent). These standards must be stamped on the unit backed by the actual certification documents.
The country of manufacture is not of much concern today since most of the European products are also made in China and shipped to Europe. Germany recently imposed an import duty to reduce inflow of Chinese made panels to Germany. This is proof that Chinese-made panels by reputed manufacturers meet international standards.
