Dhayan appointed to Ceylon Tea Brokers Board

Plantation industry veteran Dhayan Madawala has been appointed to the Board of Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc as an Independent Non Executive Director.

Dhayan has been associated with the tea industry for over 45 years. He retired as Director/CEO of Hapugastenne Plantations Plc and Udapussellawa Plantations Plc at the end of 2014 after serving these companies for over 20 years.,

He was also a Director of James Finlay Plantation Holdings Ltd., Finlays Tea Estate (Lanka) Ltd., Newburgh Green Teas Ltd., and Finwood Lanka Ltd. He is a Fellow of the National Institute of Plantation Management (FIPM).

He presently serves as a Consultant for Hapugastenne Plantations Plc, Udapussellawa Plantations Plc and Horana Plantations Plc.With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc comprises of Chrisantha Perera (Chairman), Ajith Fernando (Managing Director), Suranga Perera, (Chief Executive Officer), Waruna De Silva, (Executive Director), Shiromal Cooray, (Non Executive Director), Sharmali Perera - (Non Executive Director), B R L Fernando - (Independent Non Executive Director) and Dhayan Madawala  - (Independent Non Executive Director)
