Dialog offers special package for the hearing impaired

Sri Lanka’s premier telecom service provider, Dialog Axiata, marks the International Day for the Hearing Impaired – which falls today – with the relaunch of a special mobile package to help them stay connected.
This special package offers video call rates at Rs.1 per minute for calls within the Dialog network and Rs.2 for calls to other networks, plus, 1,000 free SMS to Dialog mobiles and every additional SMS for just 10 cents. In addition, the user will also receive 1,000 MB worth free data usage, and again just 10 cents for every additional MB.
To avail of this package, customers may present an endorsement by the National Council for the Deaf, the Ratmalana Audiology Centre or a Government ENT doctor’s on the applicant’s eligibility status. Customers can obtain this special package at any Dialog Arcade or Service Centre, and as special two weeks promotion, can also obtain a special discount on a Dialog K35 or K45 mobile phone (up to 11th October).
Dialog Axiata leads the way in technology-led interventions in health in Sri Lanka, with special emphasis on hearing. The Ratmalana Audiology Centre,a joint initiative of Dialog Axiata PLC and the Ceylon School for Deaf , which provides free testing to the students of the school for Deaf , as well as affordable testing and hearing equipment for members of public. Less fortunate members of the public may request free testing with the written endorsement of a government ENT doctor. Inclusivity forms the core of Dialog’s business and sustainability agenda, and this offering of a special package to the hearing impaired serves to enrich their lives and provide them with the necessary tools to stay connected to their loved ones and the world around them.
