Diamond wins major export award

Diamond International Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. (DIL) won a silver export award for its contribution in exports at the recently-concluded export awards of the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka. It lost to Nestle Lanka Ltd., which won gold.

DIL Director Jayampathy Arambepola speaking to the press said: “Our vision at Diamond is to take the rural dry zone agro products to the international market and we are very happy of our achievement in finding markets in 10 countries.” “We are extremely proud that we have been able to contribute to the rural agro sector to increase the incomes of our farmers and connecting them to the international markets. DIL has broad-based its product range from rural Sri Lanka in the current year and hopes to look for more countries to contribute to the national export goals,” he added.
