DIMO expands service facility and genuine parts availability at Ratnapura

Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) recently expanded operations at their Kuruwita branch. Since the opening of the branch in 2010, the Kuruwita branch focused only on sale of TATA Commercial vehicles and other world renowned brands from the location.

Due to the growth in numbers of commercial vehicles available in the vicinity of Ratnapura District, DIMO decided to arrange service and repair facilities for TATA Commercial vehicles and sale of genuine parts for the same.

TATA is Sri Lanka’s number one commercial vehicle brand in terms of units sold and brand equity. And this year is a very important year in the DIMO-TATA calendar, since 2011 marks 50 years for the relationship the two giants.

Gahanath Pandithage (Deputy CEO-DIMO), Rohan Kuruppu (Managing Director of Karanketiya Transport), Vijitha Bandara (GM-TATA Commercial Vehicles) and Ajith Perera (GM-TATA Commercial Vehicle Parts) graced the occasion.

DIMO plans expand the service facilities in their other key branches in the coming months, to complement the growth in commercial vehicle sales.
