Diva rewards loyal customers with ‘Idame Vasanawa’

Diva, the flagship detergent powder brand of Hemas Manufacturing recently announced the commencement of its exciting consumer promotion ‘Idame Vasanawa’. With the aspiration of rewarding loyal consumers, Diva plans to gift valuable plots of land on the outskirts of Colombo to four lucky winners. This year’s promotion also marks the fourth consecutive occasion that Diva has generously honoured its customers through the distribution of land plots. Over Rs. 6 million worth of prizes will be offered to Diva consumers who can reap the benefits from this noteworthy promotion. The ‘Idame Vasanawa’ competition which commenced on 1 May will continue over a 90-day promotion period, ending on 31 July. To enter the draw, consumers are required to send in three empty sachets of new Diva triple action detergent powder (30 g, 70 g, 200 g) or one wrapper of any Diva detergent bulk range (400 g, 1 kg, 2 kg) along with their contact details to P.O. Box 1289, Colombo. During the promotion period, a winner will be selected monthly through consumer entries.  Together with these three winners, another winner will be selected through a competition conducted exclusively for Diva customers who patronise the Cargills Food City chain outlets. These four lucky winners will receive deeds to the plots once the competition ends. A novel feature of this year’s Diva ‘Idame Vasanawa’ promotion is where competition entries will be afforded the chance of doubling their winning opportunities. The Diva promotion team will also be touring towns and villages island-wide on bicycles and trucks visiting consumers at their door step. This initiative will give current and potential customers to participate in the competition. They can hand over their entries or even purchase the Diva product range from the door to door sales representatives. The Diva ‘Idame Vasanawa’ bicycle crew for the competition was recently flagged-off with much fanfare from the fast developing suburb of Ratmalana. Speaking on the occasion Diva Brand Manager Shanaka Fernando said, “Diva as a brand has changed the lives of Sri Lankan housewives by making household chores easier and removing dirt faster with minimal effort. Using Diva, the Sri Lankan housewife can mobilise her time and energy towards the betterment of her family.” “Not only do we wish to deliver superior value for money to our customers but also wish to reward our loyal consumers. Also the numerous entries received, and increased participation seen over the last three years is an indication that this promotion is truly popular and a much awaited event in the calendar,” he added In 2011, Diva began rewarding its customers with the inaugural promotion titled ‘Ravumata Idamak’ which offered four plots of land. Under the ‘Diva Nuwanakkariya Idamak’ theme in 2012, consumers were invited to participate in a similar promotion. Three grand prize winners were awarded plots of land. Last year, for the third consecutive time, Diva spearheaded this mega consumer promotion titled ‘Diva Nidhan Ekka Idam’. Here too, four plots were gifted to the winners. To-date a total of 11 plots have been gifted to loyal consumers through the land distribution promotion and resonates as an important consumer centric activity in the Diva calendar.
