Dotel Oya Estate establishes an all-time record for a BOP Grade

Dotel Oya Estate situated in the Kegalle administrative district has been frequently obtaining top prices at the Colombo Tea Auctions. This is attributed to the high standard of manufacture maintained in producing good quality orthodox teas.
At the penultimate Tea Auction for this year, Dotel Oya Estate had the proud distinction of establishing an all-time record price of Rs. 780 per kilogram for a BOP Grade. This line of tea was purchased by Heritage Teas Ltd.
This surpasses the record price of Rs. 760 which was equalled by Dotel Oya Estate at the Tea Auctions of 20 November 2013.
Eastern Brokers Ltd. were the brokers associated with the sale of Dotel Oya teas. Dotel Oya Estate comes under the Management of RPC Management Services Ltd., of the Richard Pieris Group of Companies.
