A workshop organised by the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka will be held on 13 March, at 7:00 p.m. at the Club Palm Bay Hotel Marawila.
About 30 South Asia think tank heads and senior research staff members, together with aid donor representatives will be participating in the event, held under the patronage of International Monetary Co-operation Senior Minister and Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama.
The workshop will be held from until 17 March. A special lecture on ‘How economic policies are made in Sri Lanka’ will be delivered by the minister.
The key objective of the meeting is to share knowledge, practices and experiences related to being a successful policy research organisation, and to encourage networking and collaboration among the institutions in South Asia.
The resource mobilisation workshop is intended to enable participants and expert resource persons to share and discuss South Asian think tanks’ experiences of attracting support from funding partners and other stakeholders, both international and domestic and highlight the individual and organisational skills and capabilities required to do so.
