Dr. Coomaraswamy to address Maristonians on Saturday

Eminent academic, intellectual and economist Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy will deliver a guest lecture at the Annual General Meeting of the Colombo Maristonians to be held on 24 November at the 80 Club Colombo 7 at 6 p.m.

He will talk on ‘Post Conflict Sri Lanka Economy – Challenges and Opportunities’.

Dr. Coomaraswamy graduated from the Cambridge University and obtained his Doctorate from University of Sussex. He has worked for the Commonwealth Secretariat as Director, Economic Affairs Division and Deputy Director, Secretary General’s Office.

As a young economist, Dr. Coomaraswamy also worked for the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and was seconded to the Ministry of Finance and Planning from 1981-1989.
