Dr. Phil Young to discuss corporate education with senior managers

TMC is pleased to announce that Dr Phil Young, corporate education consultant who designs and implements seminars and training programs in finance, marketing and strategy, will be making a special presentation  to all those in senior management  wishing to avail of this rare opportunity on Wednesday 12 June 2013.

The presentation will take place at Premier Park Conference Halls I&II of Excel World Entertainment Park at 5:30 p.m. and conclude with a Q&A session and refreshments by 8 p.m.



Under the topic ‘What is corporate education? How do companies use it to help implement their strategies?’ Dr. Young will be presenting an educative slant to how companies could use this aspect in assisting the implementation of their corporate strategies.

Corporate education is not a topic often heard of although we could be practicing some of it in our professions unknowingly. A greater understanding of this aspect would be highly beneficial to managers, corporate heads, leaders and professionals in higher management.  

Dr. Young is a corporate education consultant who designs and implements seminars and training programs in finance, marketing, and strategy. He has over 30 years of experience in this area of consulting as a course designer, instructor, and facilitator. He is also a member of the Duke Corporate Education Global Learning Resource Network. The Financial Times and Bloomberg  Business Week continue to rate Duke CE as the world’s #1 provider of customised corporate education services.



Among his present and past clients are: IBM, AT&T, Verizon, ITT, ABB, Dow Chemical, Ericsson, Siemens, Bayer Diagnostics, Sonoco, ST Microelectronics, BT (British Telecom), Ingersoll-Rand, Ericsson, MasterCard International, American Express, Booz&Co, the Emirates Bank Group and Citibank. He has conducted corporate education programs for these and a number of other companies in over 25 countries throughout the world.

Prior to founding his own consulting firm, Phil was a Professor of Economics and Finance at Pace University in New York, where he taught in the MBA program for 25 years. While at Pace he was appointed as the first visiting professor in IBM’s International Finance, Planning and Administration School located in NY and Belgium. In addition, he was the Director of Corporate Education for Pace University. His responsibilities included the academic leadership of Pace’s corporate education and Executive MBA programs.

He has also taught in executive education programs sponsored by Columbia University, The University of California at Berkeley, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Cornell University and the International School of Management (Paris). He is the co-author of a major economics textbook entitled ‘Managerial Economics: Economic Tools for Today’s Decision Makers,’ published by Pearson, 2013, 7th Edition. Along with a colleague, he has written an important book in economics for business managers entitled ‘The Portable MBA in Economics,’ John Wiley & Sons, international editions of this book have been translated into Chinese, Russian and Spanish.

Phil received a B.A. from the University of Hawaii, a Master’s degree in international relations from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in economics from New York University.
