Douglas & Sons (Pvt.) Ltd., popularly known as DSL among its trade partners, celebrates 25 years of success this year with religious observances held at the Corporate Head Office, CSR projects and a gala dealer awards ceremony.

A Kaprooka Bodhi Pooja was also held at the Kelaniya Temple invoking blessings on the Management and staff of the organisation.

Addressing the employees at the gathering, Chairman, Saroj Perera said, “DSL stands as an example in the auto parts after-market, having achieved continued success over the past years, and now the organisation’s next objective is to become the best distributor in the South Asia region.”

Being a business entity that is attuned to the social needs of the marginalised and less fortunate of society, DSL carried out various projects in keeping with its moral principles on Corporate Social Responsibility. While celebrating its business success, DSL organised a medical camp for the residents in and around Panchikawatte, renovated the Maligawatte School and sponsored a veteran coach from the Football Federation, introducing the sport to the school and awarded 20 scholarships to the students of the Automobile Technical Training Institute at Orugodawatte. Furthermore, donations were made to build a shrine room, dining room and rest rooms at the Dematagoda Sri Visudharma Temple and also to carry out renovations at the Kelaniya Temple.

Celebrating this milestone, the organisation held its annual Awards Ceremony on board the Star Cruise (Virgo) in Singapore, giving its auto-parts dealers an experience of a lifetime. A significant fact of this tour is that DSL created history by enabling a tour group of nearly 700, the largest Sri Lankan group, to visit Singapore.

A visit to the famous Universal Studios in Singapore was an unforgettable experience for the entire tour group. Other entertainment such as karaoke, mini Golf, swimming pools, water slides, entertaining musical events, chocolate buffets, fabulous magic shows, world class dance and acrobatic shows were also organised for the tour group, not forgetting the fabulous shopping spree in Singapore and a brief stopover at Kuala Lumpur prior to their return.

DSL stands firm in its commitment to offer nothing but the best to Sri Lankan motorists. DSL owes all its achievements to its dedicated dealer network, its loyal customers, committed employees and the Sri Lankan community at large for being a part of its success over the past 25 years.

In its goal to become the best distributor in South Asia, DSL not only seeks to serve its nation but also the global community.
