Dual honours for Expack Corrugated Cartons at NCE Awards 2012

Expack Corrugated Cartons (Pvt.) Ltd. was honoured with the Most Outstanding Exporter Award – Support Services Sector and the Gold Award in the extra-large category at the recently held NCE Awards 2012.

Expack Corrugated Cartons (Pvt.) Ltd. was established in 1998 and the main line of business is manufacturing of corrugated cartons according to an infinite range of specifications. Expack has excelled in expectation in conception, design and prototyping a carton, and production, thus providing the quality of the carton, high level of service and on-time delivery that will definitely give the customers an edge in product packaging.

The company has expanded its operation in 2007 by acquiring a 4.5 acre plot of land in the industrial zone located in Sapugaskande. With the inclusion of state-of-the-art, fully automated machinery, the company increased its capabilities in providing larger volumes as well as being able to cater to individual needs and specifications of many of its clients.

This resulted in an increased market share among the large exporters in Sri Lanka. The Expack clients portfolio consists of customers in the following segments – FMCG, pharmaceutical, food manufacturers and exporters of tea, garments and accessories, fruits and vegetables, bicycles and seafood.

Expack has the distinction of being the first corrugated carton manufacturer to be awarded the ISO 9001 2008 certification by SGS Lanka Ltd. and also won many prestigious awards such as the one of the Top 10 awards at the CNCI Achievers Award in 2012 and a merit award in the national level manufacturing sector, extra large category.

Other awards include the Most Outstanding Exporter Award – Support Services Sector in 2010 and 2011, the NCE Gold Award in the extra large category several times and the Business Excellence Award.

Most of Expack’s employees have been with the company since its inception and the company has invested heavily in the continuous training and development of its staff and workers.
