Sri Lanka’s Lifestyle station E FM has sponsored the first of 10 informative networking events under the Junior Chamber International (JCI) BIZMEET 2016, Sri Lanka’s first ever professional networking program aimed at promoting consistent ethical practices among the country’s future corporate leaders. Offering up a key topic of ‘Diversity in inclusion for sustainable growth’ for its inaugural event, this very interesting forum was held at the Cinnamon Grand Atrium, on the evening of 10 August.
An international Non-Profit Organisation with a history of over 100 years, JCI currently operates in 116 countries around the world. The Sri Lanka office of this organisation has operated for over 60 years. This organisation structures its programs around the categories of Empowerment, International Community and Development with a view to providing opportunities for international youth leaders, to generate meaningful and positive changes in their respective home countries.
JCI is among one of the few organisations granted consultative status by the United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), advancing a long term partnership and collaboration in sharing similar goals and working towards the enhancement of the communities.
Commenting further, EBC Radio COO Chalaka Gajabahu said, “E FM is pleased to partner with the JCI for its very interesting BIZMEET 2016 program, which promotes the development of ethical and sustainable practices for future corporate leaders as its main goal. This is a very important area that is in line with our own corporate philosophy, and it is essential that this message of ethics and sustainability is inculcated in tomorrow’s leaders. As such, we at EBC Radio intend to continue advocating these and even other noteworthy and topical corporate themes going forward.”
