The fifth Ease of Doing Business Forum, organised by the Ministry of Finance, will be held at 2 p.m. on 12 November at the Miloda Centre in Colombo. This was earlier scheduled to be held on 5 November and has now been postponed due to the scheduled policy speech to be made by the Prime Minister on that date.
The Ease of Doing Business Forum was initiated by the Ministry of Finance on the instruction of the Minister Ravi Karunanayake in May 2015, to provide on-the=spot solutions to obstacles faced by the investors and the private sector business community in Sri Lanka. The Finance Ministry has so far held four sessions of the Ease of Doing Business Forum 2015 where the private sector could obtain instant redresses to their business matters through the public sector regulatory agencies. This multi stakeholder platform is a joint exercise chaired by the Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake with the participation of the relevant ministers of the respective ministries and top officials of the Government regulatory institutions.
